## v1.1.0 (2026-10-13)
- Natural-sounding synths (PeriodicWave, drift, velocity to filter/amp, exponential envelopes, chorus, softer presets). Computer-keyboard instrument (` toggle) with on-screen piano, polyphony, octave/velocity, quantized recording. Guitars: steel and nylon acoustic, electric clean/crunch/distorted, bass guitar, amp sim, palm mute, strum mode. Whole-song MIDI export, MIDI import creates tracks, timeline clip drag, demo song per genre, welcome tour, downsampler FX, count-in, CPU meter, autosave and crash recovery, export progress bar. Fix: very short notes on some instruments were silent.

- Release 1.0.0. Desktop apps for Windows, macOS and Linux, plus the portable web build.

### Pass 6: Vorin rebrand
- Renamed Kicklab to **Vorin** (title, logo, About panel). Added the Vorin favicon.
- WAV exports carry an INFO/ISFT "Vorin (getvorin.com)" tag. MIDI exports carry a "Made with Vorin" text event.

### Pass 5: Instruments, samples and plugins
- High-quality, permissively licensed samples (CC0/CC-BY): Salamander grand, upright, acoustic kit, VSCO-2 CE brass/woodwinds/mallets/harp/choir, Virtuosity cymbals, VCSL percussion. Lazy-loaded, with velocity layers, round robin and release tails. Falls back to synth when samples are unavailable.
- Multi-track instrument system: add or remove any number of instrument tracks, each with its own piano roll, mixer channel and FX chain. Tracks are saved in projects and included in song, stems and MIDI.
- Instrument browser drawer (by category, with search and preview) and a per-instrument plugin panel with macros.
- New engines: FM, Karplus-Strong plucked strings, additive organ, formant choir. Added supersaw/hardstyle lead, acid 303, 808, reese and wobble presets.
- Extra drum kits (808, 909, acoustic, rawstyle, lo-fi) and percussion rows (crash, ride, high tom, shaker, conga, cowbell, rim).
- FX: phaser, flanger, bitcrusher, auto-filter, tremolo, gate, tape saturator, stereo widener, master maximizer.
- Equal-power crossfades at sustained-sample loop points. Per-track voice limits.
- About & Credits panel with sample attributions.

### Pass 4: Song mode, visualizer and security
- 8 patterns plus song arrangement with loop and full-song export. Sidechain, pan and meters.
- Free note lengths with drag-to-paint and resize. Projects are saved with their samples.
- LUFS meter and -14 LUFS export.
- Smooth 60/120 fps UI. LED visualizer (bars, ring, waveform, kick pulse) with themes and fullscreen.
- Security hardening: strict hash-based CSP, sanitized project import, allow-listed parameters.

### Pass 3: DAW features and redesign
- Automation lanes, Web MIDI plus MIDI file import/export, sampler/slicer with drag-drop, richer synth, per-track FX, mic recording, velocity lane, humanize, stem export.
- Dark-theme redesign with Arrange, Pattern, Mixer, Synth and FX tabs.

### Pass 2: Music theory and workflow
- Time signatures (4/4, 3/4, 6/8, 5/4, 7/8, 12/8). Key/scale with lock, chord tool, per-genre progressions, note names, arpeggiator, triplet/swing grid.
- Undo/redo, copy/paste, note length, velocity/accent, BPM tap, persistence, import error handling, mobile layout, audio resume.

### Pass 1: Foundations
- Hardstyle kick and preset retune. Gain staging and clip-free WAV export.
- Live mixer, confirms, tooltips, keyboard shortcuts and help panel. Drive on snare and clap. 808 glide.
